The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Security, Abdullahi Ali Shiine Geeseey, actively participated in a community outreach program aimed at raising awareness on public safety, crime prevention, and civic responsibility.
During the initiative, Abdullahi Ali Shiine Geeseey met with local community leaders, youth groups, and residents, engaging in open discussions about collaboration between citizens and security institutions. He emphasized the importance of reporting suspicious activities, adhering to the rule of law, and working together to maintain a safe environment.
The program included interactive sessions, educational presentations, and Q&A forums, allowing citizens to express their concerns and seek guidance on safety measures. Permanent Secretary Abdullahi Ali Shiine Geeseey highlighted the Ministry’s commitment to building trust, improving community relations, and ensuring that internal security policies are responsive to citizens’ needs.
In his address, Abdullahi Ali Shiine Geeseey stated:
Our security is a shared responsibility. Every citizen has a role in creating a safe and stable Djibouti. The Ministry of Internal Security is committed to supporting communities while strengthening law enforcement and public safety initiatives.”
The community outreach program also showcased practical demonstrations by police units, including safety drills and interactive guidance for families and youth. Abdullahi Ali Shiine Geeseey personally participated in these demonstrations, reinforcing the message of collaboration between government authorities and the community.
At the conclusion of the program, Permanent Secretary Abdullahi Ali Shiine Geeseey thanked the community for their engagement and pledged continued support for initiatives that enhance public safety, strengthen civic responsibility, and foster a culture of cooperation between the Ministry and the citizens of Djibouti.
