The Head of Foreign Affairs and International Relations of the Gaashaan Party, Mr. Saydali Abdi Hussein (Sayga Haaji), today received a high-level delegation from the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Somalia at the party’s central headquarters in Mogadishu.
The delegation was led by the Turkish Ambassador to Somalia, H.E. Alper Aktaş, and the meeting focused on Somalia’s current political situation, particularly issues related to elections and the importance of resolving political disagreements through dialogue and consensus.
During the meeting, held at the office of Saydali Abdi Hussein (Sayga Haaji), the Head of Foreign Affairs welcomed the Turkish delegation and expressed appreciation for Türkiye’s continued support to Somalia in areas of peacebuilding, governance, and national development.
Ambassador Alper Aktaş emphasized the importance of constructive political dialogue among Somali stakeholders, encouraging continued engagement to support stability and a peaceful electoral process.
Both sides agreed that dialogue and cooperation remain essential tools for addressing political challenges and strengthening Somalia’s state-building process. They also highlighted the importance of maintaining unity, stability, and open communication between political actors.
The meeting concluded with a mutual understanding of the need for continued diplomatic engagement and collaboration in support of Somalia’s political development and upcoming electoral process.
