The Minister of Civil Aviation and Airports of the Puntland Government, Hon. Cabdifataax Ugaas Yaasiin, together with the Director General of the Ministry, Mr. Maax Axmed Gabobe, officially inaugurated the Bosaso Airport Hotel in the city of Bosaso.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by a broad range of dignitaries, including officials from the Bari regional administration, Bosaso District authorities, security leadership, the Director of the Puntland Maritime Police Force (PMPF), traditional elders, business leaders, and other invited guests.
The new hotel is expected to strengthen hospitality and travel-related services in Bosaso, particularly in connection with Bosaso Airport operations. It will play an important role in accommodating domestic and international guests, while also improving convenience for travelers passing through the airport.
During the event, Hon. Cabdifataax Ugaas Yaasiin highlighted the importance of investing in modern infrastructure that supports aviation services and boosts economic development. He noted that projects like the Bosaso Airport Hotel contribute significantly to improving service delivery and enhancing the city’s regional importance.
Following the official inauguration, Hon. Cabdifataax Ugaas Yaasiin carried out an inspection of the hotel’s facilities, where he reviewed the quality of services, modern equipment, and overall readiness of the establishment. He commended the management and staff for their dedication in completing the project to a high standard.
The opening of the Bosaso Airport Hotel marks a major milestone in strengthening aviation-support infrastructure and improving hospitality services in Puntland.
