The Ministry of Civil Aviation and Airports of the Puntland Government today officially held a smooth and well-organized handover ceremony, marking the formal transfer of leadership to the newly appointed ministers.
During the ceremony, the outgoing Minister, Mr. Cabdullaahi Bille Nuur, and the former State Minister, Mr. Siciid Maxamed Awaare, formally handed over responsibilities to the new Minister, Hon. Cabdifataax Ugaas Yaasiin, and the new State Minister, Eng. Maxamed Ciise Lacle.
The event, which was held in Garowe, was conducted in a dignified and orderly manner, highlighting the continuity and stability of the Ministry’s operations. The Director General of the Ministry, Mr. Maax Axmed Gabobe, warmly welcomed the new leadership and, on behalf of all staff members, provided a comprehensive briefing on the Ministry’s ongoing work, responsibilities, and operational activities.
The outgoing officials expressed their gratitude to the Ministry staff and the people of Puntland for their cooperation during their tenure. They also extended their best wishes to the new leadership, expressing confidence in their ability to further develop the Ministry.
In his remarks, the newly appointed Minister, Hon. Cabdifataax Ugaas Yaasiin, together with State Minister Eng. Maxamed Ciise Lacle, pledged to strengthen the Ministry’s work and focus on improving efficiency, service quality, and institutional collaboration.
Hon. Cabdifataax Ugaas Yaasiin emphasized that his administration will prioritize transparency, modernization of aviation services, and enhanced cooperation across all departments to ensure continued progress in Puntland’s civil aviation sector.
